Your account and profile

Supabase provides account authentication and database storage. Your account can contain your email, name, birth date and time, birth place and coordinates, birth time zone, living place and coordinates, living time zone, language and calculation preferences.

Both birth and living details are saved to your account. Birth details support your natal chart; living details support the local date, Panchanga, transits and daily timing calculations. Some location and preference values are also cached in your browser for faster access.

Saved companion conversations, generated reports and calculation caches are stored on the server, associated with your account. These are separate from the practice journal described below.

Calendar and chart calculations

When you request a chart or calendar calculation, our server sends the relevant date, time, location coordinates and calculation settings to VedAstro. Birth calculations use your birth details; daily calculations use your living location and local time zone.

Calculation results may be cached in your account so the app can reuse a result instead of recalculating it.

AI reflections and conversations

AI features send requests through OpenRouter to the configured model provider. A request can include your conversation text and relevant derived chart or calendar context, together with preferences such as your language. AI readings and reports use calculation context to generate their text.

You choose whether to send companion messages or request personal AI reports. Some signed-in dashboard features also prepare AI summaries in the background. Public Explore and Practice can be used without requesting a personal AI conversation.

If you include your name, contact information or other personal details in a message, that text is part of the request. We do not describe these requests as completely anonymous. Consider what you want to share before sending a message.

OpenRouter and the model provider process the request as part of generating a response. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.

Information kept in your browser

• Practice journal, bookmarks and timer: These use device browser storage. They are not uploaded as an account journal and do not sync across devices. Where browser storage is unavailable, the app explains when work is only retained for the current visit.
• Companion recovery: Unsent messages and completed replies waiting to be saved can be kept in account-scoped session storage so you can return to them in the same tab. This recovery storage is not encrypted by the app and does not sync across devices. It is cleared on sign-out or an account change, and normally ends when the browser tab session ends.
• Preferences and sign-in: Browser storage and authentication cookies help retain your appearance, preferences and sign-in session.

You can clear device data using the available practice controls or your browser's site-data controls. Browser storage is not a backup: clearing it, changing browsers or using another device can make locally saved information unavailable. Take care when using a shared device.

Payments

Stripe or Razorpay handles payment checkout and payment credentials. VEDIC.world stores account-linked transaction or subscription references, payment status and plan information needed to manage access and billing. The app does not store full card numbers, card security codes or payment passwords.

Site operation and analytics

Hosting, authentication and API services process technical request information needed to deliver the site and diagnose failures. The site also includes Vercel Web Analytics for page-visit measurement. Companion message text and recovery drafts are not put into navigation URLs or analytics events by the companion interface.

Email sign-in uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare processes browser and network signals for this security check under its privacy policy. We send the resulting challenge token to Supabase for validation. A short resend timestamp is kept in your browser without your email or code. Sign-in analytics record only the request or verification outcome category; these events do not include email addresses, codes, challenge tokens or raw error messages.

Reviewing and removing information

You can review and update profile details in Settings, delete saved conversations from the companion history, and clear locally saved practice data using its controls.

Clearing calculation caches in Settings refreshes saved calculations. It does not delete your account, profile, conversations, generated reports or payment records. Clearing browser storage does not delete information already saved on the server.
