1. Information We Collect

VEDIC.world is committed to processing data with strict mathematical transparency and minimal retention overhead. We collect:

  • Birth Signature: Your exact date, time, and coordinates of birth (Birth Location). This is stored securely on Supabase database to draw your baseline birth-chart snapshot.
  • Living Coordinates: Your current physical coordinates. For maximum privacy, this is cached inside your browser's local storage (localStorage) to draw daily circadian Hora and Panchang times.
  • User Identity: Your email, handled securely through Supabase Auth JSON Web Tokens (JWT).

2. Third-Party AI Gateway Processing (Data Minimization)

The Engine utilizes the secure OpenCode Zen and OpenRouter API gateways for executing contextual astrological synthesis.

ANONYMIZATION COMPLIANCE: We enforce strict data minimization. Your personal identity attributes (such as full name, email address, or exact birth coords) are never passed to any artificial intelligence models. The AI receives only anonymous mathematical variables (e.g., “Lagna: Aries, Moon: Leo, House 10 score: 75”) to generate observations.

3. Payment Gateways (Stripe & Razorpay)

Transactions are processed entirely by certified payment gateway operators (Stripe and Razorpay). VEDIC.world never directly handles, views, or stores your raw credit card numbers, CVVs, or payment passwords.

4. India Compliance (DPDPA 2023 & IT Act)

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, we provide the following protections:

  • Notice and Consent: Consent to collect your birth metrics is requested dynamically during the onboarding screen.
  • Data Principal Rights: You have the right to revoke consent, access your data summary, or request correction or erasure at any time.
  • Grievance Redressal: In compliance with IT Rules 2011, any privacy concerns can be directed to our designated Grievance Officer:

5. GDPR & CCPA Rights (International)

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you possess the right to:

  • Request a portable copy of your account profile data.
  • Invoke the “Right to be Forgotten” to delete your historical account, birth signature, and payment metadata completely.
  • Opt-out of any third-party marketing and cookie logs.

6. Cache Purging & Data Deletion

To provide you with maximum control, you can instantly erase cached forecast structures at any time by executing the “Clear Cosmic Cache” action inside the System Settings dashboard panel.
